How long does it take to build a desk?

Moderate assembly is required for the desk and we provide assembly instructions with each desk frame. We recommend assembling the desk with a friend. The assembly process usually takes around 30-45 minutes from start to finish.

Where can I find PDF’s of the assembly instructions and troubleshooting?

Assembly instructions can be found within the specs tab of each product page. Additional instructions for troubleshooting and desk setup can be found within each PDF.

Using your own desktop?

If you are not using an Able desktop, ensure that your top is between 46” - 70” in width and 27” - 36” in depth for maximum stability. We recommend leaving an inch of overhang on each side of the top.

Can the desk really lift 350lbs?

Yes, but the recommended everyday weight limit is 220lbs. to ensure that your desk motor stays in good working condition.

How do I reset my desk?

Resetting the desk will override any custom upper/lower limits. Ensure that the desk surface and columns are clear of any items before proceeding.

1. Press and hold DOWN until desk reaches the lowest height position. Release.

2. Press DOWN again but hold until the display flashes RST. Release.

3. Press and hold DOWN once more until the desk lowers and rises slightly.
DO NOT release the DOWN button until after these motions have finished.

4. Desk has been reset.

If a new control box is installed on an existing desk, a RESET must be performed before using the desk.

Where will my order ship from?

We ship orders via FedEx Ground or FedEx Freight from our warehouses in Portland, OR and Baltimore, MD. In order to ensure quick delivery, we will ship your order from the warehouse closest to you that has your items in stock.

How can I track my order once it has been shipped?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an e-mail with tracking information provided. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours before movement is reflected on the travel history.

How can I place an order?

If you’re ready to place an order, you may place the order online. With any other questions, you may reach us via email at support@abledesk.co or by phone at (877) 232-4232 any weekday between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Pacific time.

How do I change quantities or cancel an item in my order?

All orders are immediately charged and processed when an order is placed on our website. We typically ship our items out the next business day, any changes to the order must be taken care of the same day the order was placed. Please note that once an order has been processed or shipped, the order can no longer be changed.

What info should I include on my purchase order?

A person of contact, a phone number, and an e-mail address for the order.

A shipping and billing address.

The e-mail address of your Accounts Payable department, so that we know where to send your invoice.

Our company’s full name and address.

The quantity and full configurations of the items that you want to order.

Your order total and your payment terms (our standard terms are Net 30).

If your PO is based on a quote that we sent you, please include the quote or invoice number on the PO for faster processing.

What if I need a copy of my receipt/invoice?

Please email support@abledesk.co and we will send you a copy or your order confirmation, receipt or invoice.

Shipping Information

General Shipping Info

Our items ship next business day from our East or West coast warehouses via FedEx Ground Shipping and is free to the lower 48 United States. For orders to Alaska or Hawaii, shipping and other fees will be applied at checkout.

Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information at the email address associated with your order.

You can track and manage your FedEx deliveries online through FedEx's Delivery Manager. You can provide personalized delivery instructions, choose delivery times and dates, and redirect or hold a package.

Our ground shipments do not require a signature for delivery.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Sometimes we are able to offer expedited shipping on your order. Please email our customer support team at support@abledesk.co for a quote.

Freight Shipments

Freight shipping will only be used for larger, heavier items and larger quantity orders. The following item quantities will ship via FedEx Freight:
- 12 or more ABLE desk frames, depending on location.
- 6 or more ABLE tops shipping to one location.

Some important things to note about freight deliveries:

Your freight delivery will need to be scheduled directly with the delivery company. As soon as your order leaves the warehouse, you should receive information about tracking and scheduling the delivery directly with FedEx Freight.

An adult must be present to inspect and sign for your freight delivery. You’ll need to note any shortage or damage on the driver's paperwork at the time you sign for the shipment.

Unless a loading dock is available, freight deliveries are curbside only. This means that the delivery driver will take the boxes off of the truck but the recipient is responsible for bringing the boxes inside.

The customer is responsible for verifying the correct shipping address and all contact information. Additionally, it is the end-user's responsibility to coordinate delivery with FedEx Freight. Failure to coordinate delivery may result in additional fees at the end-user's expense.

Returns

General Return Info

Hassle-free 30 day free return policy.

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase and we’ll work with you to make that happen.

We offer a 30 day risk free policy on new/unopened products in their original packaging to the continental United States. As long as you return your item to us in new condition and it’s original packaging, we will refund you in full.

We’re unable to accept returns on the following purchases:
- Bulk Orders
- Open Box items

How Do I return a desk and accessories?

All returns must be approved by Able Desk Co. within 30 days of receipt. Once approved, an RMA number will be issued along with a return shipping label.

Items missing or damaged when returned will incur an additional fee to cover repairs or part replacement.

We typically process returns within 3 business days of receipt. After a return has been inspected by our staff, a refund will be issued. Please allow up to 5 business days for your credit card provider to process the refund.

Warranty

Is there a warranty on desks?

Able Desks have an all-inclusive 7 year warranty on all frame components, including motors and electronics.

Guidelines:

The Able Desk warranty period begins the day the product is delivered to the customer.

Warranty is valid for only the original purchaser or the product.

We will repair or replace any parts necessary to correct manufacturer defect in materials and workmanship, free of charge.

What is covered by the warranty?

The Able Desk Frame itself, including the electric motors, control box, and handset.

Performance according to published specifications.

Defective materials or workmanship in frame or desktop.

Defects affecting operation of the frame and height adjusting mechanisms.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Normal wear and tear of desktop or paint finish on frame.

Any damages or malfunctions in the product caused by repairs, or attempted repairs, performed by anyone not affiliated with or authorized by Able Desk Co.

Any product that has been damaged by or subjected to misuse, abnormal handling or impact.

Improper assembly or disassembly.

Any modification to the frame or electrical components.
